About me

About me

Lotus Synge    - RA CRM5 PRM BA (Hons)

I am a qualified clinical reflexologist. I received extensive training at the Reflexology Academy in London by one of the UK's leading reflexologists Hagar Basis. I hold a Level 5 Mastership in Clinical Reflexology. Incorporating Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology.

I am also trained in Advanced Reflexology Training (ART) which has deepened my practice, I am committed to my ongoing development in the field of reflexology.

I believe the body has a remarkable natural ability to heal itself which can all too often not be utilised. Our modern day lifestyles are so hectic that we can stop listening to our bodies and not take time to truly relax and let our bodies mend. Stress is a major contributing factor to much ill health. Relaxation is a natural and beneficial state to allow the body to find balance.

I am passionate about reflexology and feel privileged to work in wellbeing. I believe in treating everyone as an individual and giving the best possible treatment to clients.

I understand that talking about health and lifestyle issues may be difficult and I am very understanding. All information is confidential and will be treated with the utmost respect.

I live in the beautiful city of Cambridge and am a mother of two boys.

I practice from a lovely therapy room in the north side of the city- in CB4. Home visits can also be arranged.

I am a registered member of Professional Reflexology and I am dedicated to working within the high standards and codes of ethics set by the organisation. This enables me to provide a safe and fully insured practice. Being a member of this organisation ensures that I have been trained to the highest level.

Reflexology

is a holistic therapy which means it treats the whole person

Reflexology is a complementary therapy based on the principle that there are reflex areas in the feet and hands that correspond to all of the glands, organs and parts of the body. Reflexology is a unique method of using the thumbs and fingers on these reflex areas. It improves blood, lymph and nerve circulation, aiding the body's own healing potential to bring about balance.

The aim of reflexology is to create homeostasis, which means that the organs of the body are all working together and at their best.

Reflexology can be used to treat a specific condition, and can also be used to maintain overall health it can help with:

  • Relaxation and General Well Being
  • Stress and Anxiety
  • Hormonal Imbalances
  • Fertility Issues and Pre and Post Natal Care
  • Headaches and Migraines
  • Digestive Problems
  • Muscular Skeletal Disorders
  • Allergies and Skin Conditions
  • Poor Circulation and Water Retention
  • Sleep Disorders
  • Blood Sugar Disorder
  • Ongoing Cancer Treatments
  • And Much More

TREATMENT

TREATMENT

Booking & Consultation

To book an appointment please get in touch. Once booked you will be sent a confirmation.

The treatment room is a cosy peaceful space to relax in during the consultation and treatment. Once you have got comfortable, there will be a short consultation. Any personal information disclosed will be treated with the greatest respect and confidentiality.

What to expect from a treatment

You will be asked to remove your shoes and socks and lie down on the treatment couch. I will then use my hands to apply pressure to your feet, ankles and lower legs. Specific techniques are used to apply the appropriate pressure to the appropriate area. Do not worry if you have ticklish feet - the pressure applied is usually firm enough that this is not a problem. Reflexology is a calming and relaxing experience, there may be areas that are more sensitive and I will guide you through breathing into this sensation until it diminishes. Each reflexology session is a unique experience and each client responds differently.

After the Treatment

Afterwards a feeling of relaxation and balance is usually felt. Clients report feeling both calm and energised and grounded after a treatment. A re-adjustment process may occur after receiving a treatment that is very relaxing and deeply beneficial.
